SEIU President Plays Immigration Agent in Latest Episode of "Whose Rights Are They Anyway?"

The fearless leader of SEIU California, David Huerta, decided to channel his inner Tom Cruise and star in his very own Mission: Impossible, right in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Who needs spy gadgets when you've got sheer audacity and a moral compass that only points to "Obstruct"? Federal authorities, however, were not amused by his impromptu casting call during an ICE raid.
In a stunning display of courage or perhaps sheer idiocy, Huerta chose to document the raid, forgetting that the only things allowed to interfere with federal officers are their own policies. Not since the days of civil disobedience has a man been so eager to be cuffed, all in the name of workers' rights. His detainment was as inevitable as it was ironic.
You'd think a man with his title would know when to keep his camera in his pocket, but no, Huerta was determined to make a point or get arrested, and he managed both. His arrest has since become the talk of union halls and comedy clubs alike, where the question on everyone's lips is: Was it bravery or a desperate cry for attention? The line between the two is as blurred as Huerta's understanding of legal jurisdiction.
